If "clothes make the man" then surely "jewelry makes the woman"; one need only to glance at this stunning timepiece to realize it is destined for one stunning woman. Gorgeous, pristine, solid white gold studded with diamonds and what appear to be triangular-cut sapphires, it illustrates the magnitude of Jazz Age talent in watch and jewelry design. Measuring approximately 30mm wire-lug to wire-lug by 17mm wide with a startlingly crisp, hand-carved pearlescent dial; framed by a field of line and arabesque carving (front and sides of case); fitted with a correct new-old stock ribbon band and buckle – how magnificent!
Snap open the un-engraved back and you will find a mechanism every bit as classic as the case: a 15 ruby jewel Benrus-marked movement in pristine condition. Carefully cleaned, oiled and calibrated, this factory-marked movement features a compensated balance and regulator and is completely original to the case.
We're happy to announce the watch comes in its period royal purple velvet case with black insert and velvet lining. We are happy to fit the ribbon strap to the new owner's wrist size.
To the buyer and recipient of this watch: You have excellent taste!
