Ben Model, a film historian dedicated to the discovery and preservation of silent films, contacted us recently about a previously unknown documentary of the Elgin National Watch Company entitled “House of Wonders.” Approximately 23 minutes long, it is a priceless glimpse into the past; a full reel of the Elgin Watch factory during the golden age of American watch making. We were able to date the film to 1931 for Ben, who, in turn, has graciously allowed us to air it for our clients and fans.
