The American Waltham Watch Company was one of the originators of the Industrial Movement and was a force so powerful, so influential that it can be credited with no less than helping settle the United States. Waltham was a pioneer in interchangeable parts for timepieces, a concept unheard of during the middle of the 19th century when the company was founded.

With the hopes of the American Industrial Revolution resting squarely on its shoulders, the American Waltham Watch Company performed far beyond anyone's expectations —and nearly crushing the Swiss watch industry in the process.
