In 1875, Joseph Bulova set off on the bold experiment of a wholesale jewelry business. It was not until the '20s, realizing the potential of the newly popularized "wristlet," that he began to use his jewelry expertise to make wristwatches. His factories in Switzerland would go on to produce millions of movements for watches, then ship them to the states where each watch would be hand-assembled and tested. One can look at the early Bulova timepieces and see the clear influence of Joseph Bulova the jeweler and craftsman.

How could ANYONE doubt the craftsmanship of Bulova after seeing such a stunning achievement? This work of wrist art is an original example of one of Bulova's most alluring case designs. Embodying all things Deco and marvelous, this timepiece boasts an original face with applied "Aztec" numerals and bar markers and desirable sub-seconds register.

Measuring 38mm long by 22mm at its widest point, the case exudes symmetry and soothing wrist-stance.

Of course Bulova would not put anything less in this watch than its ultra-high grade 21 ruby jewel movement with compensated balance and baton regulator. Marked "Bulova Watch Co. U.S.A." the beating heart of this classic wristwatch has been fully and professionally restored to keep excellent time.

Almost as rare as the watch itself is its period "clamshell" case in burgundy leather with matching satin-and-velvet interior. Marked "Bulova/Fifth Avenue/New York," it is in good, original condition, complementing the timepiece nicely.

Certainly a watch befitting our clients, this triumph will incite envy in all lucky enough to see it. Topping off the watch with a dark chocolate cordovan strap and matching period buckle, nicely accenting both watch and case.

Our heartfelt admiration in advance to the buyer with fine enough taste to claim this prize!
